1. Select the elements on your existing Revit model that you want to be grouped under any desired customized criteria (e.g., by location, discipline, contractor, family, category, etc.). 2. Define a name for the group of selected elements and fill the value of the “Mark” parameter on the Revit properties dialog box with that name. 3. Select the button TitanBIM ® from the PROSIAC menu
4. On the TitanBIM®dialog box
- Select the folder where your NWCs files will be created
- Select the Mark values from the list
- Customize the Exporting Options or leave them with the Default options (The Export Options on the the TitanBIM ® dialog box are the same as on the Autodesk® Navisworks® option editor in Revit)
- Click on OK
5. An NWC file with the name of the Mark will be created
6. Append your file to Navisworks®.
7. Repeat steps 1-5 as needed and you can breakdown your Revit file into tens, hundreds, or thousands of NWC files that can then appended into Navisworks.
8. You can repeat steps 1-6 for different Revit files and create NWC files that can be then appended into a single Navisworks integrated model. You could even append to the same Navisworks integrated model, not only NWC files coming from Revit models, but any other 3D models with a format suitable to be appended into Navisworks (e.g., dgn, dwg, etc.)
9. TitanBIM® works only if the Autodesk® Navisworks® NWC export utility is installed on your computer. You can download the Autodesk® Navisworks® NWC export utility installer following this link: Autodesk Navisworks Export Utility
